WHAT IS A STUDENT VISA?
- The Student Visa Subclass 500 allows international students to study full-time in Australia for a period of 5 years or less, not exceeding the duration of their enrolled course.
- This visa is applicable to students enrolled in a course that is registered under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
- The visa holder is allowed to bring along family members and work part-time for up to 40 hours per two-week period, once their course has started.
- The visa allows for travel in and out of Australia during study.
